Made it back from the Netherlands last night. It was an easier trip than my previous two trips to Europe this year. But it was great. Thanks to Joanna and Jodie and Granny for the hospitality. And thanks to Dutch music lovers for coming to the shows.
I counted today, and I have already played 58 shows this year, from California to Norway, from Michigan to Louisiana, from Newcastle to Texas. And back.
About to do a show with Rodney Crowell. Tomorrow night, Friday, May 25, at the Frist Museum. Two shows, one at 6 pm and another at 9 pm. Full band show, the first for me in quite some time.
After that, I am going to Texas with Emmylou Harris. See you down there!
And after that, I am playing Dragon Park Music Sundays on June 10. This time, it’s an acoustic duo with Lisa Oliver Gray—-we have done so many shows like this together, and I wanted to bring that intimate vibe to Nashville for a change. It’s free. Come see us!
I hope to fully resurrect the Lick of the Day, but it has been difficult without a laptop that has a built-in camera. I travel as light as possible, and an extra video camera just breaks the camel’s back.
Cheers, blessings, happy beginnings of Summer 2012.
